Design Production: Printers

http://www.gfsmith.com/story

After much success at last year’s handmade exhibition, Wallpaper* returned to the Brioni palazzo for 2012’s ‘Salone del Mobile’.

The invites for this very special occaision were printed on our very own Old Mill, Bianco 350g.

The invitations went on a wonderful journey from paper to production: duplexed to a 700g board, letterpressed, blind-embossed and die stamped by Baddeley Brothers.

Baddeley Brothers also created the bespoke hand-cut and folded envelopes using Old Mill Bianco 190g.

Italian studio Happy Centro and Louis Vuitton have teamed up to both design and produce an invitation for the opening of a Louis Vuitton store in Osaka, Japan.

The result... a paper object featuring complex origami folds and a variety of printing techniques using our very own:

  Arcoprint Milk 85g.

This invitation is for a Halloween and Hypnotism party, one of the monthly Fedrigoni events.

Foiled copper and laser cut on Ispira 360gsm.

A simple marque was created from a blackletter 'H' and a sans serif 'H', Inside the letter 'H' changes to 'F' for Fedrigoni.

Inviting 500 people from around the world to London is a logistical challenge of olympic proportions.
me&dave curated this extraordinary set of collateral for the Rio Tinto London 2012 Olympics hospitality Programme. From pre-departure packs to luggage tags, guide books to Olympic Park maps and event schedules to dinner menus. The consistent use of the bold mine to medal timeline as well as infographics help deliver cohesive communications across a wide body of work.
A winning combination of Sirio White White & Sirio Pearl Copperplate was used to created this stunning piece.
The olympics may be over, but this is most certainly worth a gold medal.
