CoP: Theory into Practice - Crit

First we had to do the D.I.E.T plan on our work before we were separated into groups

Describe
its a hard back book with a black cover with a hand print embossed into it
A4 size ( possibly smaller )
i can see it in a glass box on a stand as a sacred book like a religious or law book
and gold text on the cover

Interpreting
Its about the laws of graphic design first with the laws of yourself then principles of designing
Its informing first year graphic design students about how to design and be a good designer - a solid place to go back to
Like the bible of graphics almost

Evaluating
Not sure about content - needs to be more separated and clear from one another to be in the same publication format?
Is it appropriate - does its have to be like law books/religious book size?
Would bigger or smaller be better?
Does it work for the audience?
Is it something worth keeping?

Theorising
It breaks down the principles clearly for them and gives advice into being a designer
Format with amount on content? Is is suited? Should they be separate? Poster for principles?

We had the crit in a group of 4 where we all went round and spoke about our work for 15 minutes getting feedback and asking questions we wanted.

I got a lot of positive feedback from showing my design sheets and the work i already had created and when i had told the idea for my publication and what i was trying to achieve. They felt it was appropriate and did fit together. The feedback i got to improve on was to put more theory into it for example where there were principles could i have examples of this as theory so modernism for balance etc.
