I looked at current deli websites to try and get an idea of the appropriate content and styles they take.
This uses a full image background of the front of the location and separates the restaurant aspect from the deli using a chalkboard effect navigation bar. It's badly layout with random link boxes to other sources and loses the focus of the eye and also uses a lot of different colours.
I like the opacity effect of this over the image of the counter but again is oddly layout and it hard to focus or navigate your way around and the navigation bar is so small and thin, it doesn't catch your attention.
This website immediately appears dark and you get random parts of images at the side. It has a lot of text and is kind of off putting.
Again this one is dark and has a lot of information. The navigation bar is obvious but small and doesn't compete against the rest of the site.
This is completely different to the others, it quite image based but not photography, appears quite girly and sweet on appearance but has a clear navigation bar at the side and legible section for information.
This website I think is the best designed, it's clear, simple and using a limited colour palette which gives more focus to the eye. It doesn't focus it's imagery on food but more on the experience which is different to the others. I do think it has to many pages in the navigation which does pin point where you want to get to with ease but looks a bit much information for a restaurant. Image buttons as part as the content may of cut this down.
