I looked at card and envelope design to get some ideas of where I could this brief.
This uses gold foiled edges to add a sophisticated and expensive look.

The ones that stand out the most are the unusual ones which have interactivity. Although this should be in my mind when designing I need to remember to consider practicality of producing the cards for mass production.
