Design Practice 2: Hipstamatic

Hipstamatic is a photography company aiming to inspire the world to live more beautifully and creatively.

Through a variety of offerings, including Hipstamatic, IncrediBooth, and SwankoLab for iPhone, and Snap magazine for iPad, Hipstamatic encourages its community to tap into their inner artists and use photography as a gateway back to creativity.

This is an example of how analogue has been transferred to digital. Analogue is popular today but mainly through digital apps where you can filter photographs taken on phones to look like old dated photos. Hipstamatic even has options of cameras, film to use and filters as well as the opportunity to 'develop' them in a dark room lab. This shows the extent that analogue can go into digital and how the current generation see analogue photography.
